For Mike and myself,

Kazys mentioned Ken Auletta on Monday and I think Mike can benefit from this video as I have.

Also an interview with Auletta at his book release.

This is where I’m looking to operate.

This is a simple explanation of the internet, its history, our interaction with it, and its future. Finishing with a very good question.

So I purchased the book and started reading. I guess this is my review of the first chapter as I don’t have a lot of time to read everything in it (being that we now have less than a month to finalize, concretize and produce concept and the architecture of our evil client) but it seems just from the first chapter that the author gives nothing but praise to the organization speaking of Colonel Geoffrey Ling (a program manager at DARPA) as a saint, put on this planet to help all amputees across the globe, but specifically those in Iraq and Afghanistan being that we have a large amount coming from that region right now. Obviously the author didn’t have a lot of access to the inner workings of what DARPA is truly creating within it’s organization but judging from the first chapter (obviously you can’t judge a book by its cover, or even first chapter for that matter) this book seems to be no more than a public face for DARPA in its efforts to bridge the gap between its evil public presence and a softer more caring form of security and advanced technology in which it was once established.

NPR did a small write up on it as well. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120400853

At any rate, what does this say about the architecture of DARPA and how one should respond to the need of an architecture for DARPA. Well its much different than the midterm presentation at this point. This isn’t necessarily a headquarters. It is necessary for DARPA with this organization’s abundance of high technology to acquire a proper form of public relations.

Maybe that is too far, but when the voice in the video says our phones will help us make plans for the evenging things become a little weird.
